"SAFETY BY CHOICE NOT BY CHANCE"
The mission the campaign is to inform teenagers of the safety hazards that arise while driving with others teenagers in car. Driving with other teens can increase the chances of loud noise, no seatbelts, and crashes.

The Facts
RISK OF CRASH:
The risk for teen crashes increases significantly when they are operating a vehicle with another teen passenger in the vehicle. (CDC)

In 2019, 22,215 passenger vehicle occupants were killed in traffic crashes. (NHTSA)
ADULTS VS. TEENS:
In comparison to driving with an adult, loud conversations and horseplay are more likely with multiple teenage peers in the vehicle. (NHSTA)
TEENS DRIVING TEENS:
More than half of teen passenger fatalities occurred in vehicles driven by another teen. (IIHS)
GRADUATED DRIVERS LICENSE:
Graduated Drivers License (GLD) restricts that no more than one non-familial passenger, younger than 21, can be present when a teen is driving, unless accompanied by a licensed driver 21 or older. (SOS)
